The new Legend of the Seas is breaking new boundary on cruise ship dining once again by introducing its new supper clubs with Royal Caribean International. Legend of the Seas is the third ship to implement supper clubs after the Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas. Rollout of supper clubs was previously discussed with the addition of a more unique cruise experience. This includes fine dining, crafted cocktails, live music, and an immersive experience.

Linken D’Souza, Senior Vice President of Food & Beverage for Royal Caribbean International, explained that the idea behind the supper clubs was to create an unforgettable experience by combining three essential pillars: food, beverage, and music. He added that they had carefully considered creating unique and special experiences for each ship, experiences that would tell the history of great food and cocktails, while integrating live music in a special way.

The supper clubs offer much more than a typical dinner setting. They are a sensory adventure where guests not only enjoy an exquisitely crafted multi-course meal but are also swept away by the music and atmosphere that surround them.

The Empire Supper Club debuted aboard Icon of the Seas, offering a New York City-inspired dining experience that quickly became one of the standout features of the ship. With a focus on upscale dining, this first supper club offered guests a unique culinary experience, combining a ten-course tasting menu with expertly paired cocktails and live music performances.

Despite the steep $200 per person price tag, the Empire Supper Club became an iconic feature of the Icon Class. The experience quickly gained attention as one of the defining moments of the cruise ship’s offering, and it set the stage for future iterations of the supper club experience across Royal Caribbean’s fleet.

On Star of the Seas, Royal Caribbean took the supper club concept further with the Lincoln Park Supper Club, a restaurant that brings the flavor of Chicago to life on the high seas. Taking inspiration from the Windy City’s music scene, the Lincoln Park Supper Club reimagines the original Empire Supper Club with new themes, a unique menu, and live music designed to capture the essence of Chicago.

One of the defining features of this supper club is its incorporation of brass instruments, a nod to Chicago’s rich jazz heritage. The addition of a trumpet to the live music performances brings an exciting new layer to the entertainment, creating a memorable experience that appeals to the senses.

Jennifer Goswami, the Senior Director of Product Development for Royal Caribbean, explained that their goal was to deliver the concept of ‘eatertainment’ in an entirely new way. She stated that the Lincoln Park Supper Club successfully combined world-class cuisine, innovative cocktails, and live performances to create an unforgettable experience for cruise guests.

Royal Caribbean’s upcoming Legend of the Seas will introduce yet another supper club, continuing the line’s trend of offering immersive dining experiences to its guests. This new supper club takes inspiration from the golden age of cinema, drawing on the glamour and glitz of classic Hollywood. With a new design, unique menu, and customized entertainment, the Legend of the Seas supper club promises to transport guests into a world of cinematic elegance.

Michael Bayley, the President and CEO of Royal Caribbean International, described the supper club as a highly unique and upscale celebration-type experience set in exquisite surroundings. He emphasized that the atmosphere was truly phenomenal, offering guests a great evening out. Guests would be treated to a multi-course tasting menu, with each course paired with a handcrafted cocktail designed to complement the flavors of the meal.

In collaboration with master mixologist Tony Abou-Ganim, the Royal Caribbean team ensures that each cocktail pairing meets the same high standards as the food. Palmeri explained that they aimed for the cocktails to be both great and crafty. The cocktail-pairing process is a delicate balance of flavor, timing, and creativity, making it a highlight of the Legend of the Seas dining experience.

With the introduction of these revolutionary supper clubs, Royal Caribbean is setting a new standard for what cruise dining can be. Guests on the Legend of the Seas can expect more than just a meal; they will experience an unforgettable fusion of fine dining, expertly crafted cocktails, and live entertainment, all in an environment that reflects the elegance and sophistication of the golden age of cinema.

This move reflects the cruise line’s ongoing commitment to providing guests with immersive and upscale experiences, ensuring that dining aboard Royal Caribbean’s ships remains a defining aspect of their vacation.

The Legend of the Seas will set sail from Miami, USA, offering a luxurious escape that will redefine the way travelers think about dining at sea. As Royal Caribbean continues to push the boundaries of cruise dining, it’s clear that this next chapter will offer guests an unparalleled experience that elevates every aspect of their journey.
