Honestly one of the highlights of our trip! We were lucky to see so many awake and lively koalas, kangaroo, wallabies, pademelons and even snakes. We were even lucky enough to be able to hold a koala (extra cost) and hand-feed wallabies and grey kangaroos. The signage made it clear that the koalas are handled only briefly and with a view to support developing knowledge and conversation, which was important to me before considering this. We spent an hour and a half here despite it only being a small place, and it was well worth a visit to Kuranda!

Hubby and I took our daughter and 8yr old grandson. On entry we met a lizard enjoying the sun. My grandson was able to feed kangaroos and wallabies and get close to other wildlife. We also played the extra for a Koala photo, which was extra special for Mr 8 as he got to hold a koala just as his uncle had done 11 years ago at the same place.

Went to this little boutique wildlife place after seeing an advert that they had Quokkas! Having never seen one and always wanting to, it was a must stop! Popped in, entry came with a bag of roo/wallaby food which wasn't expected. Found the Quokkas and they didn't dissapoint! Whilst the rain also came when we found them, there was enough shelter around the park that we(and 2 roos) were able to shelter under some and we got to feed the roos at the same time. Good little spot to visit, especially if you haven't seen a Quokka before!

Had a fantastic time holding Paul the Koala. This came at a cost of $27 which I thought was quite reasonable. Included in that cost is a printed HD photo of yourself holding the Koala. Other exciting animals to see throughout this park include kangaroos and crocodiles. Kangaroo feed was also provided upon entry to the park.

We thought the Koala Gardens only had koalas, but there were more than 15 crocodiles, many kangaroos to feed, snakes, wombats and other native animals. My family was pleasantly surprised.

Always love a wildlife park where the animals are so clearly loved and have staff who are passionate about them. It is small but interactive - loved feeding the kangaroos, checking out the koalas, freshwater crocs etc etc. Yes it is small, but you are also not paying larger park prices. Really well laid out and a lot of fun. Well done!

This is a very small area with only a few animals but from what I could see they are are in good health and active. I was able to hug a koala ( for a price ) and Rokco seemed to be okay with it. The cordial staff were great at answering questions/concerns about the various creatures.

Awesome place to visit to get up close to some Australian animals. We loved meeting Hazel the koala and feeding the wallabies. A memory that we will keep forever.

We loved this little park. We got to take a picture with a koala, feed kangaroos and wallabies and see a variety of other animals. There is surprisingly a lot to see in this small little park. I loved all of the koalas.

We went to the Gardens on 23rd January and it was very hot. We entered into the gardens and immediately were struct with the wonderful landscaping and bridge with over 12 fresh water crocs in the large pond. We thought in general that the animals seemed in good condition but then were very disappointed upon experiencing the nocturnal rooms - the temperature was soaring and there was very little breeze coming through. We were itching to get outside of this piping hot shed lined with plastic and little ventilation. The animals that we saw hardly moved and they are nocturnal so should be active at night. Unfortunately this was long lasting in our minds. Very different to the nocturnal rooms in Wellington Zoo which allowed us to view the kiwi for as long as we liked, with the critter running to and fro and seemingly enjoying its enclosure. Also the only talks about the creatures were at 2pm and 2.30pm but we got there early because of the hot, summer weather so had left by 12 noon. Be sure to go to the toilet in the shop as there is no toilet outside in the gardens.
