Bound by the native bushland of Bundjalung National Park, this secluded beach is a short drive from Evans Head township. Follow the walking track from Chinaman's Beach car park, down to one of the most peaceful spots along the North Coast. Conditions can be rough here when the winds drive in from the south-west to north-west, creating a south-east to north-east swell. Chinaman's Beach is not patrolled making it best for experienced surfers only.
At low tide there are many rock pools to be explored in the area between the beach and New Zealander's beach before walking to Snapper Rock. Beaches south of Snapper Rock are closed to the public due to the proximity of the bombing range.
