A rare opportunity to visit a world class Aboriginal Art Gallery with the added bonus of meeting orphaned kangaroo's and other wildlife. The kangaroo Orphanage was established in 2008 to take in orphaned kangaroo's from the far north of South Australia covering about the area of Germany. Since opening in 2008 the Orphanage now takes in all Australian wildlife including Wombats,Birds and Lizards. Visitors can get up close with Orphaned Kangaroo's at the daily feeding times of 12 noon and 5.30 pm. Tour groups are welcome by appointment. Entry to the feeding sessions are by donation as the Orphanage is totally self funded , The Gallery also offers an Aboriginal Cultural and Heritage talk which explains the history of Aboriginal Art, Weaponry ,The fabled Kaiditchi man shoes and Bush medicine. These talks are by appointment only. The Gallery holds an extensive range of Aboriginal Artefacts as well as significant works by many of Australia's best known Aboriginal Artists .
