The Lara Sporting Club was founded in 1975 and has been the sporting and social hub for the families of Lara throughout that time. It has grown from a small country club into one of the largest clubs in the Geelong region not only catering for four sports; baseball, cricket, football and netball, but also providing a hospitality and functions facility.
Situated with a clear view of the famous You Yangs national park, the Lara Sporting Club offers lunch and dinner services Wednesday through to Sunday with daily specials. With just a short five-minute drive to the You Yangs walking and bike tracks, they offer a close-by and convenient stop over for a bite to eat and to wash it down with some of the cheapest beverages in the Geelong region.
