Pass By: Tasman Bridge, Tasman Highway, Hobart, Tasmania 2004 Australia

After taking off from the heart of Hobartâ€™s waterfront, this scenic flight will give you a birdâ€™s eye view over our beautiful city, before heading south to follow the River Derwentâ€™s western shore as far as North West Bay.
From here, our journey heads east to the rugged cliffs and white sandy beaches of the northern tip of Bruny Island. We then head back up the riverâ€™s eastern shore, reaching the famous Tasman Bridge and experiencing views of the majestic kunanyi/Mt Wellington. We finish with a river landing and return to dock at Franklin Wharf.

I booked this flight as great way to start the day to celebrate my wife's birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, very unique taking off from the harbour and an extremely smooth flight and landing. Our pilot, Ollie, was very knowledgeable and pointed out plenty of sights along with some general information about landmarks. The online booking process was simple. A great start to our day. What an amazing experience and an about and beyond crew to go with it. Was walking to the can and a couple walked past me talking about it. Told them that we just done it and its a must do experience.

An absolutely awesome experience from booking to landing, couldn’t fault the service, scenery or quality of the experience. The guys were fantastic, making us feel comfortable and relaxed when they could tell we were a little nervous :) We hired as a private charter to deliver us to Hobart airport after the scenic flight…WOW, so special landing on the tarmac!

Located right in the centre of town, you can’t miss the immaculately maintained floatplane as you walk along Franklin Wharf. The decision to pop in and see the friendly staff at Above and Beyond was the best decision we made on our trip to Hobart. The 30 minute scenic was truly spectacular, the aircraft is very comfortable, with great visibility. Our pilot Cam was friendly and knowledgeable, providing a smooth flight, and extensive commentary on all the points of interest along the way. Put this at the top of your to-do list when planning your next trip…Thankyou Cam, Sam, and Henry, for a memorable experience.

A great experience - the aircraft is really stable and very comfortable inside. Our pilot Henry gave us loads of information about the local area as he flew us down the Derwent to get some epic views over Bruny Island and Hobart's surrounds. Even if you only have a spare hour this is well worth it, even just for the awesome experience of landing a plane on water.

Absolutely amazing trip !!!! Bonnys customer service skills and communication with us regarding our flight opportunities was amazing. Henry’s flying and narration of the area we flew over was very informative and loads of fun. The seaplane it’s self was very roomy and comfortable with great windows for viewing. This was the best trip we’ve taken in Tasmania we thoroughly enjoyed and will do again next time we are in Hobart. Next time I’ll bring the kids 👍 Thanks Henry and Bonny for making our day so much fun in Hobart. Glad we didn’t ditch Mitch 😀.

We LOVED our 30 minute flight around Hobart in the seaplane! The seaplane flies from the wharf along the western shoreline of Hobart, over the Derwent estuary at the northern end of Bruny Island, and then northwards along the eastern shoreline of Hobart. The flight is amazing! The seaplane flies lower than bigger planes, so it is incredible to be able to pick out notable things, such as our house, or a particular building. As well as that, the bird's eye perspective from the air is so totally different to what we are used to. Amazing trip! May I post some photos that I took whilst on the trip? How can I do that?

The knowledgeable, friendly, and experienced staff helped make this experience a real treat. Unfortunate weather forced a cancellation on our first booking (very Hobart), however the staff were able to rebook our flight promptly at our earliest convenience. We flew the very next morning through clear skies. We felt the staff cared about our engagement and enjoyment - we certainly walked away on a high. Definitely recommend.
