Our first stop for the day is at Mossman Gorge, the base of the Daintree National Park for a guided interpretive walk with your guide, capturing the best time of day for the perfect photo opportunity and the possibility of spotting a Boyd's Forest Dragon or a platypus.

Duration: 40 minutes

Stop At: Daintree, Daintree, Daintree Region, Queensland

Our next stop is the Daintree River via the Mossman Township where sugar cane and the sugar mill features in the landscape. Arriving at the Daintree River we take a Wildlife Cruise. Here you can sit back, soak up the tranquility and natural beauty, listen to the songbirds and seek the elusive Estuarine Crocodile.

Stop At: Daintree National Park, Tropical Research Station, Cape Tribulation, Queensland 4873 Australia

Leaving the Daintree River we drive north through the scenic Daintree National Park stopping at Alexandra Lookout for sweeping views extending from The mouth of the Daintree River and out to the Coral Sea and Great Barrier Reef. Morning tea is served with fresh muffins, biscuits, plunged coffee and Daintree Tea.

Stop At: Cape Tribulation, Cape Tribulation, Daintree Region, Queensland

Following morning tea and a stop at Alexandra Lookout we venture on to Cape Tribulation for a stop at the Kulki Lookout. A short walk to the Lookout will be rewarded with unsurpassed views of the coastal ranges and sea separated by fringing coral reefs.

Stop At: Cape Tribulation Beach, Cape Tribulation, Queensland Australia

This is the only place in the world where two World Heritage listed areas meet. Enjoy some free time to walk the beach and photograph the event.

Noah Valley World Heritage Listed private property is our next stop.
Enjoy a barbeque lunch of steak, fish, sausage, salads, damper followed by tropical fruits in a relaxed private tree sanctuary surrounded by this ancient rainforest.

Stop At: Daintree National Park, Tropical Research Station, Cape Tribulation, Queensland 4873 Australia

We follow our lunch with an interpretive guided walk as a small group with your experienced guide and stop to view The Gateway to Paradise which showcases one of the rarest and most primitive of the flowering plants in existence. A swim in the crystal clear waters in the Noah Valley is included.
The interpretive walk and swim may be taken before or after lunch depending on weather conditions and departure times.

Our last stop of the day is at the Daintree Ice Cream Company. This is the only optional extra, where you can sample the ice creams made on the property from exotic and tropical fruits grown in their orchard.

Daintree River Cable Ferry Crossing for our onward journey home. Sit back and relax in the vehicle while your guide/driver returns you back to your accommodation after a full day touring the Daintree National Park.

Tony's Tropical Tours offer two departure times.
The 7.20am departure from Port Douglas and the 8.20am departure from Port Douglas.
Both departure times offer the same itinerary.
A pick up time will be confirmed when the booking is made and accepted. If you prefer a certain departure time, contact us to see if it is available.
Please note, we do not provide transfers to and from Cairns or the Northern Beaches of Cairns or Silky Oaks Lodge. Guests will need to make their own way to Port Douglas and allow sufficient time for travel to meeting point.
Thala Beach Nature Reserve guests will need to call us for a pickup point.
Once your booking is completed please check your messages for pickup time and details and other information which will assist in making your day more enjoyable.

    Thank you Tony's Tropical Tours. We had Jens as our guide on this fantastic trip. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the Daintree and Mossman Gorge, plants, and wildlife of the region. Beautiful swim in a lovely secluded waterhole in the creek whilst going through the Daintree. Cruise down the river with a different guide spotting crocodiles etc. Nice lunch and finished the day with an ice cream. Small intimate tour, and would definitely recommend booking this tour to anyone wanting to explore from Port Douglas

    The whole Experience was Great . So much to see and do was packed into the day . Yens our tour guide was so knowledgeable, with some goods jokes thrown in . Swimming in one of those cool and refreshing creeks can now be struck off my bucket list . Also, not forgetting the Ice Creams

    Great day with very knowledgeable tour guide Jens, Beautiful locations for first time visitors, gives you an idea of the places you would like to come back to next time. Saw 2 crocs on the river which was great as the guide said he May/June you will see tons so we were thrilled to see two. Lunch was great, options for everyone. Highly recommend swimming after lunch, the water is beautiful and so clean. Thanks for a great day! We will be back to try tour B next time :)

    Memorable experience with world class tour guide Steve. Personable (great with the small child on board), knowledgeable and caring. Delivered all that was promised and more. Looked out for my fussy dietary requirements. Really can’t ask for more.

    Thoroughly enjoyed this trip. Our guide Jens was so knowledgable and informative about the areas we visited. I particularly enjoyed learning about the diversity and interdependence of rainforest from Jens. The swim at Noah's creek was a highlight. The only disappointment was the guide at the crocodile visit who was not interactive with the group. I would have liked more information about the crocodiles and their environment.

    We had a fabulous time with Steve and the people in our group. Steve was very knowledgeable, caring and very sensitive to the needs of everyone. His knowledge of the forest, the birds and the history was really good. This is what sets your tour apart from the ones overseas. It is simple but very interesting. We will come back and hope to see you all again. You should be proud of the work you do. All the best and regards to Steve. Come on QLD and rest of Australia, you need to do this tour, support local business and you wont be disappointed.

    We had a fantastic day with our host Steve. Right from the outset he made us all feel welcome, bringing a bus full of strangers together with his quick witted humour. Steve’s knowledge of the area is extensive and the facts and stories he tells along the way tie in seamlessly with the exact location and the beautiful scenery along the journey. Doing this trip in your own car in my opinion whilst still being a beautiful drive, would not be complete without all of the history and facts explained along the way. The oldest rainforest in the world has a story to tell and you’re not going to hear it if you drive yourself through it. A 5 Star Tour is made by a 5 Star Tour Guide and Steve was just that. It is clear that he is passionate about what he does which is what makes this tour great. Thanks for an awesome day and for sharing your knowledge of this amazing place!

    What a brilliant getaway!!!! We had the best time travelling up to the Daintree River and beyond. Jens picked us up at our hotel with a great big smile and kept us smiling the whole trip. First off heading to Mossman Gorge and then on to the Daintree River cruise after hot coffee and amazing chocolate muffins. Crocodiles in the river and more, beautiful kingfisher birds and brilliant sunshine on the river. Our small group was perfect, we all had a great day enjoying the amazing rainforest. The highlight was of course just as Jens mentioned, swimming at Noah’s creek in the crystal clear water. Lucy’s grilled sea bass and salad lunch followed by fresh fruit salad was delicious. We spotted cassowary and chick on the way to Cape Tribulation. Book your tour and get a glimpse of this protected beauty we call the far north. We highly recommend this tour and all it has to offer your soul and senses, the Daintree Ice cream is yummy! 100% satisfied customers☀️ Cheryl & Leonie

    We have just returned from a 9 hour amazing day experience with the tour guide, Jens of Tony’s Tropical Tours. From start to finish this tour was excellent in all aspects of good value for money, sightseeing, enjoyment level and knowledge of our guide.
